Will strollers or baby joggers be allowed?
They are permitted in the 2 mile run but not in the 15k trail run. While smooth, the Family Fun Run course is not on asphalt so you may want to use strollers/joggers with wide tires. Will portable MP3, CD players or i-Pods be allowed on the course? Sorry but no. Be one with nature! Also, because the event is a trail run, taking place partially in the dark, and narrow in parts, we ask that you have your wits and all your senses about you. Will the race be timed? The 15k trail run will be timed using the Chronotrack system. You will receive your D-Tag at Packet Pick-up. Please read the instructions accompanying your D-Tag prior to putting the D-Tag on your shoe. If you D-Tag is not attached appropriately, your results may not be recorded. The 2 mile Family Fun Run will not be timed. When/where will I find race results? Race results will be available by midnight and can be found at www.classicrace.com.
Will there be aid stations? There will be three stations on the course with water, Gatorade and Gu and medical help. Is there a time limit? There is a 2 ½ hour time limit for the 15k trail run. When and where do I pick up my packet with number, D-tag and shirt? Thursday, May 20th 12-7pm Gazelle Sports: Friday, May 21st 5-7pm Klackle’s Orchards Are hotel accommodations are available nearby? AmericInn of Greenville is just down the road and is offering discounted room rates for race participants. To make your reservation, please call 1-800-396-5007. Do I have to wear my participant bib? All 15k participants must have their participant pinned to their front and showing during the race. Not only do we require this for safety but also so our event photographers can match your participant number with your name. What are the minimum age requirements for the events? Participants must be 13 years or older to compete in the 15k Trail Run. Anyone is invited to participate in the 2 Mile Fun Run. Strollers are welcome but we strongly encourage those with bigger tires to get over the varied terrain. Can I get a refund or transfer my bib to a friend or family member if I cannot participate after I register? No refunds or transfers will be given. How can I volunteer? Volunteering is a great way to participate if you cannot participate in the one of the events. We’ll thank you with free post-race food and drink tickets and a groovy t-shirt. Complete the form under the Volunteer section of our website or contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with questions. Will there be a gear check and a place to change clothes? There will be a complimentary gear check station near the start line. There are restrooms available inside the Pavilion to change clothes before and after the race. What are the registration fees and deadlines? Registration fees (includes commerative gift, finish line refreshments, entry into prize raffle): 15k - $35 until May 1, 2010 $38 May 2 - 14, 2010 $40 May 15- 21, 2010 What is the weather policy? In the event that weather conditions are deemed hazardous to participants and volunteers, organizers reserve the right to briefly postpone or cancel the event outright. Such conditions would include threats of lightening, severe thunderstorm or tornado watches and warnings. The decision of the Race Director is final. There will be no refunds or deferrals for weather cancellation. In the event of cancellation, funds not required to cover race expenses will be donated to Michigan Blood’s Marrow Program.
